Y2019 Dividend income

_dividends

Happy holidays everybody 🙂 As it is the end of the year and the end of the quarter lets have a look at our dividend income.

2019 Q4 Dividends:

This quarter we received 69 EUR. XOM has joined our dividend payers this quarter so we have a small +10% increase compared YoY to 2018Q4 – 63$. On top as year before VZ and AEP increased their dividends adding +0,3$ to the growth.

Company Dividends in EUR / (in USD / Change)
AT&T 17,6 EUR / (19,6$ / – )
Exxon Mobil 8,2 EUR / (9,1$ / +9,1$
Verzon Communications 7,8 EUR / (8,4$ / +0,2$
Southern 7,5 EUR / (8,4$ / – )
Southern 5,9 EUR / (6,5$ / – )
General mills 4,3 EUR / (4,8$ / – )
Target 4,2 EUR / (4,6$ / – )
Pfizer 3,7 EUR / (4,0$ / – )
American Electric Power 3,5 EUR / (3,9$ / +0,1$
Proctor & Gamble 3,3 EUR / (3,7$ / – )
Jonson&Jonson 3,0 EUR / (3,3$ / -)
Total 69 EUR / (77$ / +9,3$)

Then the most important act of the year – counting of the chickens 🙂 Well to be honest I expected similar result after major divestment I made this year and most of our Baltic holdings went on sale. Our year result was 383 EUR of dividend income or a -27 EUR decline compared to last year. As mentioned Baltic holdings went on sale. Also I divested INTC, part of PG and latest TGT due to their share price increase to level were it is no longer worth for me to have my money invested there. These 3 shares prices has jumped almost x2 during past ~2 years. Did those companies doubled their sales or profit over past few years? No, just that their price has went from high to stupid. I just read that markets has closed +28% compared to end of Y2018… again did GDP, companies sales or generated income has increased almost by 1/3 during the year… no. And that makes worried. Next year income should increase due to my high return investments, but I think I will continue with cash accumulation next year as share prices are just way to high.
